As in the past years, the carol singing competition for the  past years, the carol singing completion for the school in the Mannar Educational zone were held on the 7^th December 2011 at Mn/St.Xaviers Boys College(NS). Our School took part in al three spans under 1AB category and secured two first places and one second place.

Symposium for the preparation of the achievement plan for the school  of the future.

The above seminar/workshop was conducted on the 5^th of November 2011 at St.Anne’smmV. Mr.RanjithKumarasiri- Manager, Curriculum Business Development was in-charge for this workshop. Mr. P.Arumugam, Principal,PassaraN.S  was the translator. This workshop was meant to empower the teachers to plan  and work in the future to achieve better target s of out-put.

The objects for the future were explained elaborately. The issues faced by teachers in the present classrooms were idenfied and discussed  for solutions. Then the purposes of the future secondary schools were  dealt with in detail.

All the activities were well prepared and put forward very  effectively and every one participated benefited very a lot . Mr. Ranjithkumarasiri took all the initiative to archive the target. Mr.Arumugam translated the task very clearly. We thank the team for their efforts. Also we thank Mr. M.Leon Revel-DDE-Planning Dept- of Edu, Mannar, for his presence and the valuable advice.

The new principal Rev. Bro.S.Santhiyogufsc who has taken over the school was initiated with the Isuru project at this workshop.

It is really a blessing to the school as well as to the Vankalai village to get Rev. Bro.S.Santhiyogu FSC as the successor  Principal of Rev.Bro.S.C.Vijaya. The new Principal took over the office on the 19^th October 2011. He  has  already put his full effort s and  in full enthusiasm to administrative the school to achieve better targets.  The school society warmly welcomes the new Principal Rev. Bro.S.Santhiyogu FSC and promises to co-operate in all endeavors   to accelerate better achievements in future.

Rev.Bro.S.C.Vijayathasan F.S.C who had been the administrative authority of Mn/St.Anne’s M.M.V, Vankalai, was honoured and thanked for his hard and non-tiring  services rendered in the past 6 ½ years dedicating  his full strength and life to the school society, on the 18^th October  2011. This farewell  function started with the thanks giving High Mass at 8.30 am in the church. Bro. Principal was,then garlanded after mass  and accompanied by the teachers, students, non academic staff and the well wishers in a  procession to the school with band and inniyam. After welcoming ,there  were  variety entertainment Programmes .  The Z.D.E, Mannar , De La Salle Brothers, SDS Secretary, and Mr. James Jesuthasan- Bro Vijaya’s   brother were present to witness the event took place. The zonal Director of Education, Mannar, Mr.M.Abel  Ravel commended the services rendered by Rev.Bro. Vijaya and the hardship  he underwent  to endure his efforts  to  bring success through out. In his farewell speech, Bro. Vijaya over - whelmed by the reception of the school community, was in tears  to thank each and every one for the kind support delivered to him as  principal and friend during his tenure of services from 2005-2011.

After the delicious farewell lunch, there was a get-together with the staff and  non-academic staff. Finally with huge groan and mourn the staff  accompanied him to  De La Sale House Mannar and bid adieu to   t Rev.Bro.Vijayathasan who was the cornerstone for all the success achieved during his tenure.
